Charities’ accounts to be opened to public

Charity Comments Off on Charities’ accounts to be opened to public

The government is to require the accounts of all registered charities in England and Wales to be open to the public starting from March 2014. The published data, already collected by the Charity Commission, will include headline income and expenditure for all charities, while charities with revenues over GBP500,000 will have to show how much they spend on fundraising, governance and charitable activities, and what they retain for future use.
